The Scotland national football team will train at Charlotte FC's facility for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Charlotte FC's 52,000-square-foot facility will be the Scottish FA's official training site and team headquarters ahead of matches against Haiti, Morocco, and Brazil. Tepper Sports & Entertainment CEO Kristi Coleman said, 'We're excited to welcome Scotland, one of the world's most historic footballing associations, to Charlotte for the FIFA World Cup.' The facility, which opened in 2023, features eight soccer fields, a cafeteria for players, and a weight room. This will be the second consecutive summer that Charlotte FC's facilities will be utilized by a team competing in a globalized FIFA competition. The Club's stadium hosted four FIFA Club World Cup 2025 matches, delivering the second-highest attended group stage game of the tournament with 70,248 fans. Charlotte will not host any matches for this summer's World Cup but will be the site where the United States Men's National Team plays its penultimate friendly ahead of the tournament against African champions Senegal on Sunday, May 31. The Scotland national football team's training at Charlotte FC is a significant development for the team as they prepare for the FIFA World Cup. The team's manager and players will utilize the facility's state-of-the-art equipment and resources to fine-tune their skills. The Scottish FA's decision to choose Charlotte FC as their base camp training site is a testament to the facility's reputation as one of the nation's premier club headquarters. The training site will provide the Scotland national football team with an ideal environment to prepare for their matches against top-notch opponents. With the FIFA World Cup 2026 just around the corner, the Scotland national football team is leaving no stone unturned in their preparation, and their training at Charlotte FC is a crucial part of their strategy.
