The Scottish Football Association (SFA) has become the latest governing body to publicly align itself with UEFA and express a lack of confidence in FIFA President Gianni Infantino. The SFA has called for FIFA's Governance, Audit and Compliance Committee (GACC) to rule Infantino ineligible to run for another term as president.

The SFA's chief executive, Ian Maxwell, has stated that the position of the governing body has been clear since the 55 UEFA associations met. He has also expressed support for the UEFA position, which has led to the withdrawal of support for Infantino from 21 other governing bodies.
Infantino, however, still has significant support from various governing bodies, including the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL).
